The Korean War, the first international conflict following the end of the 2nd World War, a brief three-year period that both fascinates continues to fascinate modern historians and provided what would become the basis of both modern warfare and Cold War-era diplomacy for the next 40 years. As part of this committee, you will assume the role of a delegation on the United Nations Security Council on June 25, 1950, mere hours after the first intrusion of North Korean forces into the south. It will be your responsibility to accurately represent the concerns, ideals, ambitions, and hopes of your nation on the floor of the nascent United Nations as it is delivered its first true test.
